Panniyankara has its origin in the 18th century. It is located in the south part of Calicut district. Home to major trade centres, Panniyankara has varied commercial activities from timber to heavy machineries.
Kallai river flows horizontally through the north boundary of Panniyankara. The people of Panniyankara is proud of its multi ethnic and multi religious co operation and co existence.
